GAME: 1989, Edmonton
COMPLEX SAYS: Most remember this game as Gretzky's emotional return to Edmonton, but we'll remember it for that rarest of rarities: an actual bodycheck in an All-Star Game. Kevin Lowe to Mike Ridley: Ain't nothin' for free on this blue line, pal.

GAME: 2009, Montreal
COMPLEX SAYS: Alex the Great is definitely on our short list of athletes we'd most like to hit the town with. Look at how he acts sober...now add in a few bottles of vodka. Hell of a life, word to Yeezy.

GAME: 2008, Atlanta
COMPLEX SAYS: Ilya Kovalchuk must be a heavy chiefer, because he just got stoned two times in rapid succession. Super high!

GAME: 2001, Colorado
COMPLEX SAYS: Both Russian badasses might have been slightly past their primes in the ’01 ASG, but that didn't stop them from wrecking shop like it was NHL 94 on Sega. We kinda miss the whole North America v. The World format.

GAME: 1994, New York (Rangers)
COMPLEX SAYS: Al Iafrate had a wicked hard slapshot, winning the SuperSkills hardest-shot competition three times. He also had a wicked hard balding ponytail, the kind that only a dude who could snuff you in three seconds without an ounce of remorse can really pull off. Salute, Al.

GAME: 1996, Boston
COMPLEX SAYS: Bourque's game-winner with 37 seconds left, on his home ice, was definitely G. But we remember this one mostly for Fox's debut of the glow puck, just on some cool ’90s shit. Lame, unnecessary concept, but funny novelty.

GAME: 1980, Detroit
COMPLEX SAYS: This is historical because it's the last All-Star Game of a hockey legend and the introduction of a new one. But we mostly fuck with this clip because of the awesomely atrocious ’80s hairstyles on full display. All-mullet everything.

GAME: 1990, Pittsburgh
COMPLEX SAYS: We haven't seen such sick stickhandling since...since...yeah, since that one amateur compilation. Marv Albert on the hook!

GAME: 1983, New York (Islanders)
COMPLEX SAYS: God is Gretzky, and Gretzky is God. We don't really know why we said that, but we do know half of Canada would like it on Facebook.

COMPLEX SAYS: Definition of boss move: Owen Nolan calling his shot on Dominik Hasek, then converting to complete a hat trick. Sure, Babe Ruth did it first...but was that muthafucka on skates???
