It may not look the wildest, or deliver the best performance, but the XF-R has two clear advantages over the big two mid-sized performance luxury sedans: It's cheaper, and calmer, than both. Its fuel consumption is as horrible as the M5 and E63, but that's to be expected from a two-ton car than does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. It's a playful beast that can turn it off and on when needed. Another plus? You won't see them as often as you do Benzs and BMWs, so if you're looking for something attainable and still "exclusive," this is the car for you.
