Moment: George Steinbrenner III is born in Rocky River, OH.

Complex says: Yankees fans need to start treating dude's birthday like the second Christmas—his billions and ruthlessness has gained them a bevy of championships.

Date: 7/4/1980

Moment: John McEnroe beats Bjorn Borg in five sets to win the Wimbledon Championship. Before the loss, Borg had won five consecutive Wimbledon titles.

Complex says: Homie could've used some longer shorts, but it still was a classic moment from the GOAT of all tennis tantrums.

Date: 7/4/1994

Moment: The U.S.'s surprising run into the knockout stage ended when Brazil beat the hosts by a score of 1-0. Brazil would go on to win their fourth World Cup trophy.

Complex says: We're just happy that soccer kit designs have improved over the years. Damn, Lalas. That's just an overall FAIL.

Moment: Steve McNair is found shot dead in his apartment. After an investigation, police rule it as a murder-suicide committed by his girlfriend Sahel Kazemi.
