With how big the World Cup is these days, this sort of thing just never happens anymore...and the tournament's worse for it. Back in 1986 the World Cup meant unknown teams, unknown players, and to some of the competitors, unknown rules. Team concedes free kick, team lines up defensive wall. Check. What's the one thing you can't do, Zaire? Yep, probably this. LOLz!

It was indeed Dennis Bergkamp scoring the game winning goal in the 1998 WC quarter finals against Argentina. The 75m spot-on pass came from Frank de Boer.

Mobutu actually threatened the lives of the Zaire players an their families should they lose by more than three clear goals, so my guy was scared shiteless and just trying to waste time.

No offense cause this list is ok but lose your boner to italy. Also how can you not put zidane in the 06 world cup final as the most badass moment? He snipes probably the most clutch/nicest pk in the history of the world cup and then headbutts materazzi, still winning the Golden Ball. Then just straight up quits soccer. Thats the definition of badass.
