Foreign Imports: 15 Players Who Should Join the MLS

Following David Beckham's L.A. experiment, Thierry Henry is poised to become the next international soccer superstar to come to the U.S. and join Major League Soccer. Since every great immigrant story starts with the Statue of Liberty, let us paraphrase its inscription on behalf of the MLS: "Give us your aging, your benched, your huddled millionaires yearning for playing time, the wretched refuse of big-name European teams. Send these, the discarded, the has-beens to us, we lift our lamp beside the goalposts!" With that, we recommend the following 15 soccer players to join the MLS and finally garner a little respect for our domestic league...

seriously, you don't really want Diouf over there. He was a good prospect when he was playing in Lens, but he became a legendary douche after that

I hope Marquez comes here and chokes to death on a hamburger. Villains are fine. A villian of his caliber has no place playing here. He's tried to injure our nat'l team players many times.

good list. i would love to see dinho or ruud. and freddy adu really needs to do that to save his career while he's young

dinho is cool, but he has a tendency to get complacent with trying to amaze rather than winning(a la lebron). the only reason he seems rejuvenated is to go to south africa...too bad dunga doesn't like him...

MLS needs to focus on Strikers. Saha is a possibility... What about Deco? Robert Pires? Totti would never come, and Luca Toni would retire first. Adriano is possible for a 2nd chance, or Diego from Juve.
