Super Bowl commercials are the stuff of legend. They're watched just as closely, and sometimes closer, than the game itself. On top of all the beer and Go Daddy.com commercials we were paying heavy attention to the automotive commercials. Why? We wanted to see what new ways the car companies thought of to sell us cars in these ever so trying times. Audi choose to tout their TDI clean diesel technology, while Kia, in one of our favorite ads ever, choose to play up the cheap price of its Sorento SUV. But how do those stack up against the car commercials from years past? We dug through the archives to find our 10 favorite Super Bowl car commercials of all time. Don't see one of your favorites, holler at us in the comments. Check all of 'em out below...

To let those brands know that they were coming for their necks, they put together this ad spoofing one of the most gangster cinematic scenes in history: the decapitated horse scene from The Godfather. It was bold, funny and fly.
