#1. Disco Demolition Night, Comiskey Park, Chicago, July 12, 1979
• The second game of a scheduled doubleheader between the White Sox and Detroit Tiger was called off when fans got a little carried away with breaking/blowing up their disco souvenirs. Was it the thousands of records that doubled as frisbee-scythes or the massive explosion of disco paraphernalia in centerfield? Whatever the case, it wasn't the last time disco would show survival skills that even a cockroach would envy.

The reason they don't give you the bottle caps is because the bottle itself is a much less useful projectile sans cap, not b/c they're worried you'll throw the caps.

I'm sure that that 1 lone Detroit Tiger was happy the game was called since he wouldn't stand a chance against nine White Sox all by himself. @ nuggs: I take it you didn't get lucky with any cheerleaders in school?
