The tragic death of an 18-year-old girl in Miami was the result of a sneaker transaction gone bad last Tuesday.

The Miami Herald reports that Andrea Camps Lacayo and her boyfriend, Sergio Berben, had arranged a meet-up on social media to sell three pairs of Adidas Yeezy sneakers for $935. During the encounter, one of the buyers, Adrian Cosby, asked to try on the shoes while the other, George Walton, approached from behind and opened fire on the sellers, who were still sitting in their parked car. The bullets hit Lacayo in the torso, fatally wounding her, and grazing the arm of Berben. The sneakers from the botched transaction were not mentioned in the reporting.

According to the Herald, both Crosby and Walton, who've confessed to the crimes, were arrested and being held in a Miami-Dade jail Sunday. The pair have been charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, and attempted armed robbery.
