The Georgetown Hoyas are without a March Madness bid for the first time in 40 years, but all's not lost, as there could at least be a noteworthy PE on the horizon.

If Russell Westbrook's recently released Jordan Why Not Zer0.1 "Georgetown" colorway wasn't enough for Hoyas fans, there's another pair to keep an eye on with this never-before-seen Air Jordan 3 PE.

With a grey and navy colorway reminiscent of the collection displayed at Nike D.C.'s 2012 opening, this new PE is more liberal in its use of elephant print, which appears across the eyelets for a look similar to the "True Blue" Air Jordan 3. There's also the addition of an embroidered Georgetown logo at the tongue in place of the model's traditional Jumpman branding. Meanwhile, the PE's Nike Air hang tag suggests that this style features OG branding, although it can't be confirmed from this image alone.

There's currently no word on whether or not this pair will release, but these college-based looks have typically remained exclusive to the schools.

UPDATE (05/21): The Hoyas' Jordan 3 PEs remain unreleased for the foreseeable future, but English Sole has shared a closer look at the sneakers.

In addition to their embroidered Georgetown tongue logo, Hoyas-specific details include tags behind the tongue and the team's kente print on the insole. Meanwhile, OG-inspired elements include the eyelet elephant print of the "True Blue" Jordan 3 and a hangtag with the Nike Air logo.
