Though he's currently back with the Cleveland Cavaliers, constant injuries reportedly have point guard Derrick Rose contemplating his future in basketball. His latest setback is a left ankle injury that may require surgery. However, Rose intends to rehab and play through pain before cutting his season short with an operation.

Recently, ESPN's Nick DePaula reported that Rose's Adidas contract worth up to $80 more million could play a role in an eventual decision to stay or walk away. While it's hard to imagine that not being the case on some level, Rose insists that money isn't on his mind.

“Man, I don’t care about—not to be rude—I don’t care about no f*cking money,” Rose told reporters, via ESPN.com’s Dave McMenamin. “It’s not about that. I’ve saved up enough money. It’s not about that. If I wanted to leave, I would have left. Like I said, coming back here, starting with rehab that’s my first step. Keeping it simple and just giving my team support and then I’ll see what I see off the court.”

Rose signed a 13-year contract extension with Adidas in 2012. According to DePaula, should Rose retire, the deal would be voided.
