ASAP Ferg's street credibility doesn't need to be questioned, but now he's looking to take over the streets in a different way: through running. He's been working with Adidas for the past several years, and now he's helping the brand promote its new street-running shoe, the Pure Boost DPR.

We linked up with Ferg and his friend and trainer, Kwasi Kessie, in New York to talk about his new-found love of running and why he got into it. During the interview, Ferg talks about how his father passed away from kidney failure and how it inspired him to get into shape.

He's starting off slow, but Ferg says he gets in around three miles and that running has helped him keep a balance in his life while he's constantly busy, whether in the studio or on tour.

Watch the video above to see how Ferg pounds the pavement and get motivated to run yourself.
