Few Nike collaborators are allowed to take the liberties that avant-garde fashion house Comme des Garçons is with sneaker designs. See, for example, this version of the Flyknit Racer, which uses a regular retail pair and plants a bow tie on top.
This isn't the first time the brand has taken this approach—it recently planted plastic dinosaurs on the toes of otherwise plain Air Force 1s and jacked the price way up. It's also done the bow tie thing before, having debuted a LunarEpic Flyknit 2 with a similar accoutrement at Paris Fashion Week in March.
