Lonzo Ball began his Los Angeles Lakers career with an impressive alley-oop to Brandon Ingram, but the rest of his Summer League debut left a lot to be desired.
With the world watching and his famous father talking, Ball struggled in his bid to make a good first impression—primarily with his shot. He finished with 5 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals, but only managed to shoot 2-of-15 from the field, including 1-of-11 from three-point range. The Lakers lost to the Clippers 96-93 in overtime. Father LaVar called the game his son's worst ever, but insists there's nowhere to go but up from here.

On the bright side, Ball played his first game in the Lakers-inspired "SHO'TIME" colorway of his Big Baller Brand ZO2 signature sneaker, which sells for $495 at bigballerbrand.com. Though Twitter trolls held on to every slip and stumble in an effort to take shots at the shoe's durability, the ZO2's held up for a 32-minute outing.
