This fall, Jordan Brand will reference Michael Jordan's longstanding relationship with Gatorade via an Air Jordan 6 "Be Like Mike" sneaker dressed in the colors of that sports drink. While there are a couple different versions of the shoe floating around, it appears that the one pictured here will be the colorway arriving at retail.
The sneaker uses the colorblocking of the original "Carmine" Jordan 6, pouring in Gatorade colors. There are more photos floating around that even have the Gatorade lightning bolt logo on the lacelocks and insoles, but it's unclear if Jordan Brand will go that far in making the connection official.
The sneaker references one of Jordan's most memorable ad campaigns with text inside the tongues from the "Be Like Mike" commercial.
Jordan Brand has so far not commented on which of the Gatorade-looking Air Jordan 6 retros circulating are making it to retail.
This Jordan 6 is currently scheduled to release in October.

UPDATE 10/4: According to go-to leakers like ZSneakerheadz, the absence of the "Gatorade" Air Jordan 6 from release date calendars is no accident. The launch has reportedly been moved to Dec. 16—the same day the "Gym Red" Air Jordan 11 is currently set to release. Without knowing the specifics, it seems like Jordan Brand is stacking the holiday deck to push fourth quarter numbers and finish the year strong.
