As he's done all season long, DeMar DeRozan laced up a pair of Kobes before hitting the hardwood at Madison Square Garden as his Raptors squared off against the New York Knicks.

But these weren't just any regular Kobes, they were the special NikeiD Kobe XI "Mamba Day" edition and DeRozan became the first player to break them out on court. The Mamba Day, which features a black and gold all over print, was an appropriate choice for the evening considering the stage and the fact the shoes tied back perfectly to the Raptors alternate road uniforms.

In keeping with the Kobe theme, Kyle Lowry - an adidas athlete - also paid tribute to the retiring legend as he donned a pair of the "Vino Pack" adidas Crazy 8, Bryant's first ever signature shoe which was formerly known as the KB 8, in the "Wine/Cork" colorway.
