Under Armour's decision to go all in on Stephen Curry has paid off big time, and now it just made the brand's connection with him even stronger by sponsoring his alma mater. Davidson College announced today that it had agreed to a multi-year deal with Under Armour, which will eventually outfit all 21 of the school's athletic teams.
This move makes sense for the brand and school, who are both closely associated with the reigning NBA MVP. “I take great pride in my alma mater. Davidson is such a key part of my history and journey to the NBA and I’m thrilled that they have joined the Under Armour family,” said Curry. Under Armour has been steadily growing its presence in the college game, and while Davidson isn't a big time program, it had to be a school that the brand has been targeting for awhile. Expect to see Curry sneakers in Davidson colorways in the near future.
