Given Under Armour's huge 2015, it's no surprise to learn that its founder and CEO, Kevin Plank, got even richer compared to last year. While he's no rookie to the Forbes "World's Billionaires List," Plank made a significant leap forward in this year's rankings. According to Forbes, Plank is now the #527 richest man in the world.
In addition to jumping 50 spots from last year's list, Plank also broke the top 200 richest Americans list by ranking 198th. Under Armour's strong presence in sportswear has been well known for years, and now the brand is finally starting to make a splash in sneakers, too. Sponsored athletes like Stephen Curry and Cam Newton have certainly helped raise Under Armour's popularity, so look for Plank to continue to move up on Forbes Lists as long as they're playing at these MVP levels.
