As Air Max Day approaches, Nike has revealed a new interactive display that designs an Air Max based on one's outfit.
The display was introduced inside Niketown London and falls in line with Nike's recent "This Is My Air Max" campaign. Video of the experience was shared on Instagram by kingoftrainers and the process begins with the individual standing in front of a video display that is connected to a camera which performs a full body scan. Using the colors of your attire, the display goes to work and then produces an Air Max tailored to hook back perfectly to your fit and prints out a postcard with a link where the user can purchase the shoes directly. No word on whether or not these displays will pop-up at other Nike locations, but if they do, sneakerheads will undoubtedly give it a whirl. Hopefully someone in a full clown suit or an insanely mulitcolored outfit checks it out because it'd be pretty interesting to see what the display would churn out.
Peep the video below to see how this whole thing works.
KINGDOM!!! The Kings 1st Big Reveal... Ok so yesterday morning at the preview of the @nikelondon #Niketown #AirmaxDay I came across this piece of technology which I personally believe is the future of shopping. Ok here goes... This screen is located on the Top Floor of Nike Town (Women's department for those of you who are not a regular like myself) and it is the #NikeiD machine of the future, the way it works is you stand on a Spot in front of the screen where there is an #Xbox camera connected to a computer. Once you stand on the spot with your hands by your side it scans your outfit that you are wearing and comes up with a Nikeid to match your style 😱 this ID is then projected on the screen and tells you this is your Airmax according to what you are wearing, it then prints out your ID which gives you a link of where to purchase them!! 😎 I personally haven't seen this technology before but damn if this isn't a game changer I dunno what is 😓 Nike have absolutely smashed it out the park with this, can you imagine those days when you are feeling good wanna buy some Trainers to match a particular outfit everything you have seen isn't doing it for you and then you try this and BLAM!!!💥💥💥 Watch👀👀👀 the above video of myself and Shareen from @exposurelondon trying it out !! I was completely gassed by this absolute game changer !! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 #Nike the King Salutes you!!! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 #AirmaxMondays #KingOfTrainers
