Mache Customs is known for designing some of the best custom sneakers for professional athletes and celebrities, and now his latest project aims to raise some major dollars for charity. Mache was called on by New York based luxury brand Bicion to turn a pair of Li Ning Way of Wade 4s into the world's most expensive pair of sneakers. The sneakers will be auctioned off to benefit the Soles4Souls organization, which has donated 26 million pairs of sneakers in over a hundred countries since 2006.
The collaborators started with a "Chinese New Year" colorway of the latest Wade signature sneaker, and added over a million dollars worth of gold and diamonds. The end result is being referred to as "The Fire Monkey," which is a tribute to the Chinese Year of the Monkey. The hope is for the sneakers to raise over $4 million dollars for the organization, while showcasing the abilities of both Mache Customs and Bicion, who uses and promotes conflict-free diamonds. We're sure that the combination of Mache's talent and Bicion's tailor made jewelry will raise money to provide a great amount of sneakers for those in need.
