Next year's NBA All-Star Game is scheduled to take place in Charlotte, North Carolina and rumors are swirling that an Air Jordan III Retro "Hornets" could see a release as part of All-Star Weekend festivites.

The news comes from sneaker insider, Dino Hatfield, aka BALTsneakershow, and though the release is still nearly a year away, his proven track record of providing early news gives credence to the rumor. The picture above is of Michael Jordan's PE IIIs which were part of a complete set of "Hornets" PE Retros seen late last year. Because of the news is so early, there is nothing to confirm whether or not the 2017 edition will look like Jordan's pair. Considering the Charlotte Hornets are owned by Jordan, we do fully expect something special to go down next year. Stay tuned.
