Damian Lillard has always been vocal about making his signature adidas sneakers affordable for young fans, and today he went above and beyond by giving out free pairs at a New York City Foot Locker. Lillard was present alongside Sway for a planned store appearance, and treated fans to a lot more than just a meet and greet.
The line anticipating Lillard's arrival had made it down the street in the hours leading up to the event, and many of those fans went home with a free pair of the adidas "Static" D Lillard 2. Multiple people took to Twitter to share their experiences from the night, including one fan who got a free pair. "Went to @footlocker and got to see Damian Lillard. Thanks a lot for the free kicks @Dame_Lillard," said Andrew Fok. Lillard's built a reputation for his passion for giving back, and today's appearance will surely be a night those fans never forget.
