2015 AL Rookie of the Year Carlos Correa is the latest athlete to sign a high-profile deal with the Three Stripes.

ESPN's Darren Rovell reports that the Houston Astros' shortstop has inked a "huge, record-setting" 5-year deal with adidas, although the exact terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Meanwhile, Fox 26 caught up with Correa and his marketing manager, Frankie Higginbotham, who said that the deal "assures that Carlos will be compensated at the highest levels of Major League Baseball."

"It's something surreal. I'm just living the dream right now, and working every single day to try to get better and try to get those kind of deal," Correa said.

For adidas, this is yet another feather in its cap following last summer's blockbuster $200M James Harden deal, as Correa has been pegged as one of the very best up-and-comers in the MLB. Stay tuned as this story develops.
