Staple Spanish streetwear store 24 Kilates have a lot to be happy about this year. For one they’re currently celebrating their 10 year anniversary, and secondly they’re still riding high off their newly opened store in Bangkok, Thailand. To celebrate both these momentous occasions, 24 Kilates have hooked up with Reebok to drop a special edition of the LX8500.

Dubbed the ‘Bangkok’ as an ode to their new store in the Thai capital, this model is based on the popular 'tuk tuk' automobiles. For those of you who haven’t been on a gap year to get your picture taken next to a sedated tiger for your Tinder profile, a tuk tuk is a three wheeled motorbike that tourists and locals alike use to get around the streets of Bangkok. As well as it's practical uses, the tuk tuk is famous for its many designs and vibrant colours and this is on full display with the Reebok LX8500 model. The ocean blue colourway dominates the sneaker and is contrasted beautifully by the hints of bright yellow, infrared and lime green, which is finished off with a white midsole.

24 Kilates have produced a video (which you can watch above) that displays the sneaker in all it’s glory. It certainly plays on that bright and colourful motif that makes Bangkok—and the rest of Thailand for that matter—one the world’s most sought out destinations.

The 24 Kilates x Reebok LX8500 'Bangkok' will be dropping on March 12 in both their Bangkok and Barcelona stores with an international release coming a week later in selected Reebok retailers world wide.
