With the XI set to be Kobe Bryant's last playing signature sneaker ever, it would makes sense that Nike would take it back to the beginning with a "Draft Day" inspired colorway. We've seen this teal and purple make up on Kobe models before, representing the then Charlotte Hornets who famously selected and traded Bryant in the 1996 NBA Draft.

Aqchinne took to Instagram to show off this pair of unreleased sneakers, along with the hashtag "kobe11," so this could be the first look at a sneaker that will undoubtedly be a sought after collector's pair for hardcore Bryant fans. Weartesters points out that this model appears to use an engineered mesh upper, similar to the one used on the Kobe 8, which could make for a new version of the XI. Whether it's this particular sneaker or a different variation, a "Draft Day" Kobe would be appropriate for the XI.
