Our number one sneaker of the year is about to get a major shake up at the hands of Hypebeast.
For the site's 10th anniversary, it's partnered with adidas to unleash the Ultra Boost from its support cage. Officially known as the Ultra Boost Uncaged, this collab also features updates like a white-on-white Continental rubber outsole for improved durability and traction.
As if the Uncaged design and Boost cushioning weren't already game-changing enough, this Ultra Boost will also see the debut of an embedded NFC chip that will allow its owners to access a special microsite with exclusive content. It's not clear exactly what kind of content will be offered, but this sounds promising to say the least.
According to Hypebeast, the first launch will be exclusive to their website. In order to cop, you'll have to sign up here on Saturday, December 12 for a chance to purchase. However, it's worth mentioning that other retailers like END and Sneakersnstuff are advertising a release for December 18. Plan accordingly, as these are already starting to generate some serious buzz.
