Last night, the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Golden State Warriors 77-111, marking Golden State's record-setting 16th straight win to open the season. It also went down as one of Kobe Bryant's worst offensive showings ever, as the struggling star shot just 1 of 14 from the field. It wasn't all bad for the Lakers, though, because Nick Young managed to steal the show with his sneakers.

Swaggy P — who's been at the center of sneaker endorsement rumors as of late — borrowed a pair of adidas TS Lightswitch Gil II Zero from none other than Gilbert Arenas. The golden "Vote for Gilbert" sneakers were released in late 2007 in limited numbers as part of Arenas' NBA MVP campaign. According to Lakers beat writer Bill Oram, Young actually dug through Gilbert's closet before deciding on the metallic kicks.

So, what does this all mean? Sole Collector cites L.A. Daily writer Mark Medina as saying that Young wore the sneakers to celebrate his new adidas deal, although there has not been any official confirmation from either party. We'll let you know as soon as we hear more.
