The Cleveland Cavaliers took to the Quicken Loans hardwood last night against the Milwaukee Bucks in their throwback "Miracle of Richfield" jerseys. And to coincide with the uniforms and possibly "Throwback Thursday," LeBron James brought out a vintage pair of his signature Nikes.
James took the court in a pair of Nike Zoom LeBron 2 Hardwood Classic "Triple-Double" which hooked up perfectly with the wine and gold unis. Unfortunately for James, he would eventually have to switch out of the 2s. During an interview with Craig Sager, James stated the pair was 11 years old and had been sitting in his closet and that he'd simply outgrown them. He'd go on to say that he treated them like a 1977 Chevy Caprice before switching them up to his current model, the Nike Lebron 13, which he referred to as a Porsche. Considering James had just turned 20 years old when he originally rocked them, it's not surprising the shoes no longer fit since his body was still growing and developing.
