This month we've highlighted some customsneakers that were designed in support of cancer awareness, and now some Nike employees have made a coloring book made just for patients. Nike Senior Color and Material Innovator Kim Kovel and Special Projects Creative Director Mark Smith teamed up to create the HELLO MY NAME IS CANCER coloring and activity book for adults.

The inspiration for this book came when Kovel was diagnosed with double-hit diffuse large B cell Lymphoma last January, and wanted to create a project to help out patients by making them laugh. She called on her colleague Smith, who has worked on designs for Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James, to bring her ideas to life with his art. "So I wrote this coloring & activity book, full of puzzles, coloring, mazes, word finds, dot to dots, and other fun stuff. Because it turns out, the best way for my friends, family, doctors, nurses, and me, to beat cancer into a pulp, was to laugh," she said. Fortunately, Kovel is now in remission and is determined to help others who are going through treatment. This is certainly a creative way to look at cancer treatment from a more positive perspective, while providing hope and laughter for patients.
