When Rihanna's first sneakers with Puma were seen, they looked oddly familiar to work from Mr. Completely, a designer that's known for placing creeper soles on Air Force 1s and other models. It begged some people to question if the sneakers that Rihanna was wearing were even part of her collection or a custom job all together. We can now confirm that Rihanna's Creepers look so much like Completely's work because he was involved in making them for Puma.
A rep for the brand reached out to us and said, "Mr. Completely assisted Rihanna in the creeper design of the shoe. The brand has previously made custom creeper orders for Rihanna and select online retailers using Adidas and Nike shoes as well."
Rihanna's sneakers are essentially a pair of Puma Suedes with a thicker sole attached. It's unclear if Completely will assist further in the evolution of Rihanna's Puma work or if this is a one-off collaboration, but it's nice to hear the full story.
