A Finish Line shoplifter got creative after being caught red-handed with a pair of stolen Air Jordans.
WOWT reports that a Finish Line employee allegedly witnessed Cornell Brown, 30, as he picked up a pair of Jordans and put them under his shirt. When confronted, Brown denied having the kicks on his person and claimed that the bulge under his shirt was simply because he was fat.
Police later found Brown waiting at a bus stop and found a Nike Dri-Fit shirt hidden in his pants leg. The sneakers were later recovered from underneath a vehicle in the parking lot. Now, Brown faces charges of Felony Shoplifting and Criminal Trespass as he had been banned from the mall a week prior.
By and large, sneaker thieves aren't the most intelligent breed, but we can't decide if this guy was stupid or downright genius.
