I enjoy the Nike and Sophnet F.C. Real Bristol collaboration mostly because it's a totally made up soccer club. I enjoy a well-executed work of fiction finding its way into clothing and this one is pretty on point. Some rec-league should really just co-opt this gear and trot out a team of dudes to the terrible, divot-filled pitch in the neighborhood. They'll immediately be laughed off the field for looking entirely too put-together. Not to mention that the team's wardrobe budget would leave them penniless and unable to grab some beers afterward. Totally worth it though. F.C. Real Bristol F/W 15 is sick. The Sophnet stars appear, but not on Givenchy-levels of prevalence, the abbreviated "Bristol" on the back shoulders of the jackets are cool and the Swoosh branding is done unsurprisingly well, by which I mean it's fucking enormous and oriented at weird ass angles. This stuff hits select stores—I assume places like NikeLab and Tres Bien—this Saturday, August 29th. Get the cleats out and at least pretend you like sports.
