Last month Nike dropped the KD8 "Hunt's Hill Sunrise" that was inspired by Kevin Durant's childhood workouts. Legend has it that he used to wake up every morning to run the 75-foot incline as the sun was rising. Nike is set to release another KD8 that's based off the same story from back in the day. The "Hunt's Hill Night" version of the KD8 was inspired by the nights he spent running that same steep hill after practice.
That's right, not only would Durant run the hill while the sun was rising, he also repeated it another 25 times at night. With that kind of motivation, it's no surprise that he is one of the best basketball players in the world today.
This sneaker features a Green Glow midsole with a Deep Pewter upper, made to reflect the concept of "night."
The "Hunt's Hill Night" Nike KD8 will release on September 2.
