The Nike Air Monarch has a strange following on the Internet. Some view the admiration for the dad-like sneaker, which comes in multiple widths, as trolling, and others genuinely love it. It is one of Nike's best-selling styles after all. A few months back, we spoke to Ian Williams, a former Nike designer and the man behind the Team Monarch Instagram account. He always wanted Nike to make cooler versions of the aforementioned sneaker.

He recently posted a picture of a "Black Cement" Air Jordan III to his personal blog, and they look pretty decent. They'll never match the Js, but they appear to be a 1-of-1 pair. It also means a little more that it's coming from someone who used to work on the sneaker at Nike, too.
