A Man Solved a Hate Crime and You Should Help Him Get "Red Octobers"

A #twitterhero wants a pair of Yeezys. Help him out.

It's nice to help out good people who do good things, and @fansince09 has been dubbed as a #twitterhero. But he's never really reaped any of the benefits of this label. Last year, he helped track down a group of men who attacked two gay men in Philadelphia, all through a little Internet sleuth work. He was supposed to receive a $10,000 reward for his help — half of which he'd donate to LGBT charities — but that never happened. Now he just wants a pair of sneakers: "Red October" Nike Air Yeezy IIs, to be exact.

@fansince09, who prefers to remain anonymous, has started a GoFundMe page, in which he writes:

"I really want Yeezys. But I don't want the trash new ones that look like when you ask your moms for Roshes and she knits you a pair herself because they're expensive, I want Red Octobers. So if I've ever made you laugh, or if you have anything you could give to help, I'm begging you to give what you can. I've never wanted to ask you for a dime, but I need this. There's no way around it, and there's no place else to go."
