If you thought that John Geiger and The Shoe Surgeon peaked with their "Misplaced Checks" Air Force 1s, think again.

Geiger hit up Instagram with a first look at what he calls the "Functional Zip" AF1 Low. It's exactly what it sounds like — the sneaker's midsole has been affixed with a fully-functional zipper that allows colors to be rotated according to the wearer's liking.

These "Functional Zip" AF1s are assembled in Los Angeles by The Shoe Surgeon and will release as a pack with triple-black and triple-white colorways, providing four different monochrome looks that are perfect for the fall and winter seasons. As dope as this is, we can't wait to see how the possibilities open up once Geiger drops more colors.

As always, Geiger and The Shoe Surgeon's creation is sure to be met with mixed reactions, but there's no denying the level of innovation going on here. Stay tuned for full release info.
