While Gucci flip-flop sales may be at an all-time high thanks to the #FutureHive, one well-known designer isn't too happy that the brand beat him to the release of the crest-adorned slip-on sneakers you see above.

According to Kanye's right hand Ibn Jasper, these Gucci slip-ons look a lot like a sneaker he designed last year for his Cordova Collection with Diamond Supply Co. The only problem is, Jasper's creation never made it to production, and he seems to have taken a grievance with Diamond's disinterest in the sneaker.

"It's so frustrating when you have good ideas but the people that you are trying to help are actually the people who are holding you back the most," Ibn said on Instagram. Apparently, he stumbled upon the Gucci slip-ons last weekend and was reminded of his scrapped design. "We could've actually dropped the shoe BEFORE Gucci," Ibn said.

You can check out Ibn's Cordova Collection sneaker below. While the crest placement is definitely similar, we can't help but feel that Ibn's forgetting about brands like Ralph Lauren who have been making this look pop for years. Still, he has a point, and maybe Diamond should have let him get his vision out sooner.
