What if we told you that there was a New York City startup that's raking in money by giving away brand new sneakers and other prizes for free?

Meet Claim It!, an tech-based company recently profiled by Time. Claim It! gives users a chance to win prizes by simply watching a brief 15-second commercial on its app and tracking down its van in NYC. Rewards can range from Shake Shack gift cards to GoPro Cameras, Beats by Dre headphones, and even Air Jordans and other sneakers.

"Companies like Starbucks, Beats by Dre, they give us free product, and we allow users to win that product just by watching an ad," Claim It! co-founder Kaza Razat said.

You're probably wondering, "How do they turn a profit if everything is free?" The answer is simple. According to founder Ali Abdullah, advertisers have taken notice that users have a 100% viewing rate of the brief commercials.

In other words, people don't mind watching a short ad if they have a chance to win free product, and brands are more than happy to supply a few items if it means eyes will be on their advertisement. It's a win-win for everyone involved.
