Just like that, the hunt is over. Thanks to some helpful Reddit users, the 32-year-old white guy who couldn't pull off his Js has finally found a pair of pants that works for him. Let this serve as a reminder that you're never too grown to work dope sneakers into your wardrobe.
It's difficult enough to find the right jeans to go with the right sneakers, but it's even more difficult for those who have been out of the loop for quite some years. One Reddit user found just this problem, after not wearing Jordans for 15 years, and he asked the website for advice. With this he said [sic]:
I'm a balding 32 year old white accountant dude who loves the damn shoes but can't pull them off. I bought the the low infareds and the Bordeaux's. I would have cut someones throat for these shoes back when I was a kid wearing xj900's and I couldn't pass them up now that I can afford them, but i can't pull off skinny jeans or basketball shorts. I want to show them off and enjoy them but man it's hard to wear jeans in the summer in texas. I normally wear Chucks with board shorts.
The responses rolled in, and they're hilarious, but quite informative. The first comparison, naturally, came to Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, both of whom are older, well-documented sneaker enthusiasts:
I wouldn't try to replicate Larry's loose corduroy look, but Jerry has a good thing going once you adjust towards present style. I would suggest going to some department store and trying on some pairs of Levi 511's or something similar. Not tight but no bagginess.

Dude thanks. Gonna buy some of those jeans now. Theyll definitely look cool with the 6's or bordeaux's. I really appreciate it. Those are gonna help me slow down the process of turning into my dad.
Then the poster was given the advice of looking up Jason Sudeikis, another actor known to dress up (and down) his Js, in which the original poster found his true style inspiration:
You're right man. Thanks. He wears J's with cargo shorts. I'm gonna spending some time in front of the mirror today.
