I’m gunna let you finish, but today’s Kicks of the Day are one of the most classic sneakers of all time. The original grey colorway of the New Balance 997 came back last year to much fanfare, but its return this week has been mostly quiet. That’s good news for ‘heads who missed out last time and still need to stock this iconic sneaker for their collection.
The grey colorway starts with a light grey suede on the upper, countered with darker mesh and pebbled leather. Small hits of grey 3M pop up on the branding and a wrap around the heel. The bright white midsole that matches the laces and the lining sits above a black and grey outsole. And don’t forget, these sneakers are made is the USA, with stitching on the tongue to remind everyone you’re supporting American jobs.
