Famous Footwear - a popular sneaker retailer - was the victim of a smash and grab early Wednesday morning.
The robbery occurred in Lee's Summit, Missouri and video evidence, shown via KSHB, shows a pickup truck crashing through the store as two thieves hop out and start loading the back of the truck with merchandise. This is the second known smash and grab in the sneaker community this month with Sole Collector reporting a similar incident happening to Social Status' Charlotte location. In Missouri though, this type of crime appears to be a growing epidemic with this being the fifth time a crime of this nature has been committed. As the video shows, more businesses might want to look into adding cement barriers in front of its doors to help deter would be criminals.
