Part of the fun of watching how the creative relationship between John Geiger and Dominic Chambrone (@theshoesurgeon) unfolds is seeing how many people they can make mad. From Saint Laurent / Jordan mash ups, to the misplacement of a dozen checks, their work together has attracted a lot of opinions and feelings. But few things are likely to illicit as many feelings as their latest pair.

Geiger shared a picture on his Instagram this afternoon of Chambrone holding an in-process pair of sneakers that feature Kanye West’s adidas Yeezy 750 Boost upper being applied to a sole from the Nike Air Yeezy II. Similarly, a photo of the swap (the Platinum Yeezy II upper being attached to the Yeezy 750 Boost sole) surfaced soon after.

Considering the monetary and sentimental value of the sneakers, and the blending of rival brands, reactions have been passionate and mixed. What do you think of this latest foray into the sole swap? Would you do this to your pairs (if you had them)?
