The last time France's colette hooked up with ASICS, it was on a pair of marbleized Gel Lyte IIIs that never made it to production. Although that project didn't work out, colette has cooked up something similar for its entry in the Gel Lyte III's 25th anniversary collection.
Dressed in alternating white-on-blue and blue-on-white polka dot panels, these colette x ASICS Gel Lyte IIIs are sure to turn some heads. From what we can see, the majority of the sneaker is composed of leather, white Colette branding sits at the heel and the word "Paris" shows through a translucent section of the outsole.
Like the rest of this year's 25th anniversary Gel Lyte IIIs, there will be only 1,990 pairs in circulation to signify the sneaker's 1990 release. According to French sneaker publication Shoes Up, these are set to release on June 27 at colette for 150€ (about $169), with a global release slated for the following weeks.
