Earlier this month, Sneakers Addict posted an April Fool's story about a reported collaboration between BAPE and the adidas Yeezy Boost. Complete with an official looking render, bootleggers made the shoe a reality as images of the actual shoe turned up on social media.
Today, DJ Khaled, enjoying the good life and the pleasures of his swimming pool, posted an image of his Yeezy Boosts poolside next with a BAPE Camo bucket hat sitting atop it. Coincidence? Maybe. But considering Khaled is on top of his sneaker game, it was probably a low-key reference to the aforementioned fakes. While the collaboration and resulting sneaker is a confirmed fake, a project of that nature would certainly send sneakerheads selling their souls to acquire a pair.
