While many rare Air Jordan samples remain tucked away in obscurity, it looks like one forgotten silhouette could be releasing to the public for the very first time.

Originally crafted as a Player Exclusive for MJ himself in between the release of the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan II, this hybrid model looks like a normal AJ1 from a distance, but upon further inspection it's clear that these are something else entirely. The standard rubber midsole from the 1 is replaced with the Jordan II polyurethane setup, while the ankle's Wings logo uses Nike branding.

Somewhat surprisingly, it looks like these are set for a release in 2015. Take a look at the OG PEs below and check back for more details as they're available.

UPDATE (July 2, 2015 9:45 a.m.)

The release date app J23 has confirmed that these "Chicago" Jordan 1 / 2 hybrids will be hitting shelves on July 25. While an online release remains improbable, this is probably as close as you're going to come to a pair of "Chicago" 1s without forking over resell prices. Stay tuned for the official name and price point for these unique kicks.
