The connection between sneakers and style has never been more apparent than now, and Nike's going all in with their latest dive into fashion.

Fresh off its New York Fashion Week NikeiD collection, the Swoosh just unveiled a womenswear collaboration with Sacai, a Japanese brand headed by Comme des Garçon alumna Chitose Abe (pictured above). The eight piece collection includes Abe's colorful reinterpretations of classic Nike pieces like the Windrunner jacket as well as a small selection of sneakers.

"Nike is a classic and an original that has a purity about it and a familiarity to the silhouettes that they’ve created over the years, so it’s a perfect fit with my aesthetic and inspiration," Abe told Business of Fashion

On the sneaker front, ladies can expect new takes on the Air Max 90 and Dunk models. Both have been converted into slip-ons, with elastic tongue closures and wedge-like outsoles, blending their sporty origins with modern style cues.
