Bordeaux sneakershop Le Rayon Frais (which translates to “The Fresh Aisle,” like the part of the grocery store where all the products are totally lit) just hit their five year anniversary, and to celebrate they got together with Brand You Need To Stop Sleeping On Le Coq Sportif.

Their version of the Eclat, called "St. James," is made up almost entirely of a charcoal nubuck, solid and perforated, with suede and 3M on the heel in slight tonal variations. A cream midsole creates the base for a translucent outsole that covers a street map of Bordeaux, visible by flipping the shoes upside down. The same map is mirrored on the sock liner, while two pairs of laces offer some stylistic customization.

The sneakers released today on Le Rayon Frais’ website, and there are still sizes available. While certainly not for everyone, this is definitely a unique pair.
