As the line between sneaker culture and high-end fashion becomes increasingly blurred, numerous labels have been dropping their own collection of footwear. Not surprisingly, many of these offerings take inspiration from signature styles that have reigned supreme in this once-niche hobby.

There was the Nike Air Force 1-inspired sneaker from Celine. The Stan Smith proved to be quite the influence for Isabel Marant's tennis sneaker. And let's not forget the slew of styles that Hender Scheme adopted into its line of leather sneakers, including the Air Jordan IV and VI.

The next high-end reinterpretation comes by way of Marni's running sneaker, which is basically a luxe version of the Nike Air Rift.

That's right. Nike's sandal/sneaker hybrid appears to be the source of inspiration for the Italian fashion label. From its velcro straps, midsole design, and overall unique shape, the high-end runner has the same odd qualities that basically put the Air Rift on the map.

If you don't mind paying more than 6x what the Air Rift costs, you can peep Marni's version here.
