As expected, the annual release of the Air Jordan XI Retro brought out droves of sneakerheads hoping to brighten up their holiday with a fresh pair of "Legend Blues."
Unless you're an absolute novice to hyped-up online sneaker releases, then you're familiar with all the issues online retailers experience as the surge of customers, attempting to place orders, crashes servers left and right. While this release had just as much as hype as any shoe in recent memory, Nike's servers buckled, but didn't break, as fans fortunate enough to not receive an error message or mysteriously lose their place in line were able to cop a pair.
Patience was key for this release. With the help of bots, many were able to cop quickly and easily. For others, the hope-giving "Waiting For Your Turn" pop-up turned out to be a much longer wait than anticipated. But while they waited, others gave up, slowly increasing their chances of copping and for some, eventually led to the joys of success.
