The Nike SB P-Rod 8 ended the year on a bold note with an all-black "Blackout" colorway. Now, Nike's signature skate shoe is going back to black to begin the new year.

This latest P-Rod 8 colorway sees a black textured upper with both silver Nike and P-Rod branding. Completing the sneaker's clean look is a white sole beneath the shoe's Lularlon cushioning. With the introduction of a similar looking Nike SB Free Premium, it'll be interesting to see what Nike has in store for the P-Rod series moving forward. Now that it has an equally tech savvy and clean looking rival in the SB Free, it should be an interesting ride for Paul Rodriguez's signature silhouette.

Check out the latest Nike SB P-Rod 8 colorway in the gallery above and look for it to drop in the early weeks of 2015.
