Sneaker violence has become all too common these days. Nearly every high-profile release is marred by someone getting injured in the process of getting their pair. Other models have been linked to unsavory behavior for different reasons. One of those sneakers is the Nike Air Stab.

In 2006, a rash of knife violence caused Nike to effectively shelf the Stab, thanks to an incident at NikeTown in London where thieves got into a physical altercation with a security guard. Since then, the Stab hasn't seen the same frequency of production. But that's reportedly about to change.

According to Instagram leaker @arthur_daley, the Stab is set to be retroed in 2015. So far, there haven't been any signs of the O.G. "Electric Green" resurfacing, but don't count it out. It wouldn't feel right bringing back the Stab without its most well-known rendition.

After nearly a decade of waiting, let's pray that Stab fans get what they've been waiting for.
